Intended Application

This test kit is designed for detecting T2 Toxin (T2) in various samples including grains and animal feeds.

Principle

The kit utilizes colloidal gold immunochromatography assay (GICA) based on competition. When sample solution is added to the sample hole, any present T2 toxin binds with gold-labeled antibodies, preventing them from binding to T2 conjugates on the nitrocellulose membrane. Results are determined by comparing color strength contrast.

Sample Pre-treatment

For Cereal and Feed Samples:

1. Take representative feed or grain samples (weighing more than 5 grams) and grind them through an 80-mesh sieve.

2. Accurately weigh 1 gram of the ground sample and place it in a 15 mL centrifuge tube.

3. Add 5 mL of Assay Diluent to the centrifuge tube, tightly seal the cap, vigorously shake for 5 minutes, and centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 3 minutes. The resulting supernatant is the sample solution.
